Tim Willett
Strategic & Org Development
Tim is passionate about helping organisations achieve their potential. He specialises in developing sustainable strategies, high performance cultures and organisational efficiency.
He has a blended background with significant experience from both the commercial and charitable sectors. He worked with organisations such as Toyota, BT and Motorola before joining the charitable sector. Tim was a Trustee of the Royal Osteoporosis Society until late 2021.
He spent eight years at the RNLI where he held various roles delivering funding intelligence and improvement before ultimately becoming the Head of Funding Strategy and responsible for circa £180M of voluntary income. This role was one of five in the RNLI’s Corporate Strategy team. During his time at the organisation income increased by c.29%.
On leaving the RNLI he operated as a Funding consultant to a variety of organisations before being asked to join RNID (previously AoHL), as Executive Director for Funding, Brand and Communications, to help in rescuing the organisation from potential closure. When he left at the end of 2021 the organisation had a renewed user informed strategy, a fresh and exciting new brand, a new digital delivery approach, reserves in the bank and and growth plan for engagement and funding.
He attributes his successes to a collaborative people development approach, a focus on measurable performance management and Lean based continuous improvement.
