Shiromi Pinto
Strategic communications
Shiromi is a writer, editor and communications strategist. With more than 20 years’ experience, she has consulted for multinational NGOs, including Amnesty International, Article 19, Oxfam, Save the Children International and WaterAid. Her expertise includes concept co-development with fellow creatives, developing hope-based message frames, writing impact stories, designing communications plans, and writing long-and short-form content. Throughout her career, she has applied an anti-racist and feminist lens to the communications she produces, championing under-represented voices and promoting agency through careful attention to language and imagery. She is also author of the novel Plastic Emotions, which was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature’s Encore Award (2020).
