Leesa Harwood

Leesa’s career began 30 years ago at the American Cancer Society. Returning to the UK she held fundraising roles at Business in the Community and Save the Children. Then, at the RNLI Leesa was Director of Lifesaving and Fundraising, leading the lifeboat operation as well as the fundraising team. More recently she was interim CEO at Jeans for Genes, a Trustee at the Royal Osteoporosis Society and The Big Issue Foundation. Since 2018 through her consultancy By the Waves, Leesa has been advising on strategy, fundraising, governance, and coaching charity leaders. She is currently a Non-Executive Director for Dorset NHS.
